About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Nutrition Care at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) with the Defense Health Agency, Indo-Pacific Market, Hawaii Region. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. This position provides administrative and logistical support essential to the operation of the Clinic.

Duties

Utilize Microsoft Office software to produce a wide range of documents. Maintain office files to include personnel and competency assessment folders in accordance with hospital regulations, standards, or internal standard operating procedures. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders by greeting visitors and by answering telephone calls to answer routine non-technical questions or referring questions to appropriate staff members. Review inventory and control of office supplies, submitting request for replenishment as needed. Monitor employees completion of hospital required trainings following guidelines and regulations. Maintain and process Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) orders and vouchers. Carry out a variety of general office clerical work to include serving as the primary time keeper for the department.

Requirements

  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • You may be expected to travel for this position up to 5%.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential. Incumbent will be required to ensure continuity of Tripler Army Medical Centers operations during ALL hazard's emergency situations.
