The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Lead Human Resources Specialist of Customer Support in administering all aspects of the section. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. Supervisory duties are performed less than 25 percent of the work year.
Duties
Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Customer Support programs for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and unit reservists.
Administers actions in Automated Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserves (AROWS-R).
Serves as advisor to organization leadership on Human Resources programs.
Provides Human Resources management advisory services to organization leaders and staff on all Customer Support programs.
Performs personnel supervisory/management responsibilities.
Ensures accuracy of Personnel Data System (PDS) and performs functional review of data reliability.
May be required to perform Installation Personnel Readiness duties and/or assist as directed.
Requirements
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Travel and relocation expenses will not be paid.
- Position may or will require incumbent to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

- Position is designated as Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- As a mandatory requirement for employment, the incumbent is to refrain from the use of illegal drugs and if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
- Appointee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is a TDP.

- This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).
- The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-A RT duties that generally do not exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes administering the personnel readiness program and providing Human Resources management advisory services; interpreting and explaining policy and provide Human Resources procedural guidance; and developing policies and procedures that govern the administration of the Customer Support programs.

EDUCATION: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines and publications.
2. Knowledge of automated systems. personal computers. and software.
3. Ability to analyze data/product and understand civilian personnel guidelines and the master labor agreement.
4. Knowledge and control of the English language.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals. both orally and in writing.
6. Knowledge of Personnel Readiness programs.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
