About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve Careers Group located at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Develop work to be completed by the command group.
Supervise the day-to-day activities of a full-time staff.
Recommend priority and commitment of resources for personnel, equipment and facilities.
Inspect training directives to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Analyze training manuals, directives, and manuals pertaining to training objectives.
Provide technical advisement within the command on training.
Execute detailed budget reports for training operations.
Prepare training plans, examinations, and schedules for command group.
Develop mobilization and alert plans for the immediate geographic area.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing training objectives; managing budgets; conducting analysis of expenditures for individual and consolidated training; advising on training matters; managing a training program; and overseeing the management and accountability of sensitive training items such as military munitions and weapons systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
