This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As a shared service provider, OCIO partners with customers to achieve human capital strategic goals by providing tools to increase the efficiency of human resources activities throughout the federal government. The Project Resource Analyst assists in preparing various reports that cover project reports, project status, forecast reports, budget status, and other management related reports.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Support all phases of the project management lifecycle, develop project plans, manage project risks and dependencies, and manage quality and timeliness of project implementations, satisfying business requirements and priorities.
Perform analytical studies within assigned programs/projects include understanding client's requirements and analyzing program project goals and targets.
Coordinate the preparation of external and internal reports through collecting, analyzing and summarizing information from various organizations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To be eligible for the Recent Graduates Program, applicants must have, within the previous 2 years*, completed all educational requirements for a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying institution; [or intended graduation is no more than 9 months from date of application. (However, you must graduate prior to being appointed to the position.) if applicable. For more information on education requirements go to Treasury's Pathways Program.
*Veterans who, due to a military service obligation, were precluded from applying to a Recent Graduates Program during any portion of the 2 year eligibility period may have their eligibility period extended so that they receive the full 2 years of eligibility. The remaining 2-year eligibility period will begin upon his or her release or discharge from active duty. The veteran's eligibility period may not extend beyond 6 years from the date of completion of all requirements of an academic course of study.
For the GS-07 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent qualifying educational accomplishment. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:
- Utilizing project management principles and practices to balance multiple assignments and meet deadlines; AND
- Organizing and analyzing information to compile reports for management.

You may substitute education as follows for the GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education
or
Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelors degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class), grade point average (2.95/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major) OR Election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience. Combining Education and Experience may be computed by first determining the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
