This position is located within Environmental Management Services at the West Palm Beach VA Health Care System. The primary purpose of this position is to mend and maintain textile products and employee uniforms; to include customer service with inventory management of these products.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: Incumbent continuously sits for long periods of time with continual movement of hands, arms and fingers in placing items in position and sewing. Continually handles light items up to 10 pounds, may occasionally handle heavier items up to 25 pounds. Incumbent must possess the limited ability to bend, stoop, reach and have good hand-eye coordination Work Conditions: Incumbent will perform work in a well-lighted , noisy and adequate area. May be subjected to minor injuries such as cuts, needle punctures as well as bruises from carts and machinery. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications.
