This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer.

Duties

As a Senior Advisor, you will: Oversee successful accomplishments of strategic initiatives and policy and management priorities. To do this, the incumbent will support the senior team in developing and carrying out plans to achieve success, facilitate coordination among the senior team, and advises on progress and emerging challenges. Be responsible for the efficient and timely coordination with senior leadership to ensure that actions are consistent with overall agency direction and resourcing capabilities. Coordinate with leadership on major and sensitive issues. Represent and may speak for the Office in meetings and deliberations with assigned projects, to provide the supervisor's position or desires on issues and to influence HUD senior officials to agree with and support the desired outcome. Advise on emerging issues that require executive-level involvement and help identify what staff and managers should be involved as the response team.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position must include at least two of the following: Oversee successful accomplishment of human capital strategic initiatives and policy and management priorities; Support senior teams in developing and carrying out plans to achieve success in a human capital capacity; Facilitate coordination among senior teams in a human capital capacity; Advise on progress and emerging challenges. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
