About the Position: This position is located at the Tripler Army Medical Center, Human Resources Division-Military Personnel Operations in Honolulu, HI.
Serves as the central point of contact in all matters related to administrative services. Responsible for records management, correspondence, suspense files, timekeeping, personnel administration, supply, TDY travel, mail distribution, and database management.
Duties
Perform a variety of administrative support duties to include managing records, preparing correspondences, timekeeping, maintaining supplies, coordinating personnel travel, distributing mail, and using automated database systems.
Ensure the timely preparation, verification, and submission of numerous recurring and nonrecurring reports.
Screen incoming correspondence for suspense dates and subject matter.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel to compile information used for awards, discharges and related duties.
Gather information to verify, extract, and/or summarize data to facilitate use.
Assist on special projects to develop information, background or action plans that are of immediate concern.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing technical administrative and clerical tasks such as gathering and compiling information from various database sources; drafting correspondences, reports, and/or briefings; maintaining files and/or records; and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
