You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will attend meetings held with Supported Command points of contact (POC) to review requirements and work efforts serving. You will perform as a customer liaison for service contracts by relaying supported Command requirements. You will conduct assessments on completed work or Service contracts to ensure Supported Command satisfaction. You will visit Supported Command sites to determine the actual nature of work requests and enters any clarifications into the computerized facility management system (Maximo). You will work with Preventive Maintenance and Production division personnel to ensure preventive maintenance inspection protocols are completed and Condition Index is updated in the computerized facility management system.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Call-back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of the position.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Occasional travel away from the normal duty station is required.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating with Supported Command sites to determine the actual nature of work requests and entering information and clarifications into systems (i.e. Maximo); 2) Routing and tracking facility work and identifying issues and concerns 3) Preparing reporting, evaluating key performance indicators, and briefing supervisor on facility issues and concerns for area of responsibility 4) Facilitating coordination with other departments for executing work and supporting facility inspections. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) using computer software to receive and manage requests for service. 2) communicating with customers. 3) submitting reports to supervisors. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

For the GS-07:

1 full year of graduate level education

or

superior academic achievement

or

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
