This position is in the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI), within the Office of the Director (OD), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. OMWI leads agency matters relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in management, employment, and business activities.
Duties
As a Director, Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, you will:
Provide executive direction to the development and implementation of standards and procedures for increased workforce diversity and the inclusion, utilization, and participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in the Bureau's programs and contracts, including standards for coordinating technical assistance to such businesses.
Provide executive direction to the development and implementation of metrics to monitor and assess the progress and effectiveness of standards and procedures, including analyses of the impact of program changes.
Develop and implement procedures and metrics to monitor and assess the diversity policies and practices of entities regulated by the Bureau.
Advise the Bureau Director and senior Bureau leadership on the impact of the Bureau's policies and regulations on minority-owned and women-owned businesses, and coordinates standards for technical assistance to these businesses.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this Executive-level position,(CN-81) you must have substantial specialized experience, which is defined as:
- Experience directing and coordinating activities in one or more of the following areas:
Increasing diversity in an organization's employment and business activities; OR
Increasing participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in organizational programs and contracts; OR
Assessing the diversity practices of regulated entities.
AND
- Experience analyzing organizational policies and procedures and recommending changes to senior leadership to eliminate barriers to diversity, equity, inclusion, or accessibility. AND
- Experience providing organizational leadership by establishing an organizational vision, as well as implementing goals and objectives that are communicated to staff and aligned to the organizational vision.
