This position is located in the Office of Investigations (INV), Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of State and the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). INV has broad jurisdiction over criminal, civil, and administrative investigations of alleged violations of Federal laws, regulations, and policies relating to Department programs and operations. The incumbent serves as a Data Analyst supporting OIG wide data analytics and criminal investigative analysis.

Qualifications
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5CFR 300, Subpart F.

Time-In-Grade Documentation: If you are applying for a higher grade and your SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you meet the 1-year time-in-grade requirement so you will need to provide an SF-50 which clearly demonstrates you meet the time-in-grade requirements (examples of appropriate SF-50s include Promotions, Within-grade Grade/Range Increases, and SF-50s with an effective date more than one year old). Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate proficiency in areas such as the following:
Experience querying, retrieving and analyzing financial system and procurement data
Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Python, R, Databricks, and SQL, to translate aggregate program, product, and service data into actionable intelligence and analysis products
Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures that can be applied to a data analytics program, including but not limited to quality assurance, data management, data cleansing and associated standard operating procedures
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
