Duties
As an IT Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
Manage future planning of enterprise cloud service integration by coordinating initiatives and conducting product management of epics to ensure successful implementation.
Perform Cloud system engineering duties, to include Cloud readiness assessments, requirement development, data management planning, architecture design support, system evaluation, system analysis, infrastructure operations, optimization and maintenance, change and configuration management support, release, control, and validation of Cloud infrastructure deployment and migration, and infrastructure assessment.
Provide technical expertise regarding the development of comprehensive, well-architected, cost efficient solutions for end to end environmental product generation (including data processing), dissemination and storage in a Cloud environment using agnostic Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

To qualify for the 2210 series:
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify at the ZP-4 or GS-13 level:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to meeting the IT Competencies above, applicants must also possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience to the ZP-3 or GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following:
- Participating in the analysis and evaluation of cloud applications, hardware, and software;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of enterprise cloud services systems lifecycle; and
- Advising on cost efficient solutions for end to end environmental product generation, dissemination, and storage in a Cloud environment.
