About the Position: This position serves as a leader working alongside other workers setting the pace in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic sensing and control systems.
Duties
Serve as a working leader scheduling and assigning work to team members.
Provide work method instructions and techniques.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic motor controls, variable frequency drives, reduced voltage starters, and indicating and recording systems used on industrial machinery or engines.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic digital computers and peripheral equipment, such as computers and programmable logic controllers used for programming and diagnostics of equipment and complex integrated systems.
Perform evaluation of complex electronic systems, solve engineering problems of site selection, systems integration, and modify equipment to adapt to novel site characteristics.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by human resources within 30 calendar days after the Entrance on Duty (i.e., start date).

- This position performs duties which involve the control, accountability, and shipment of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives. You must maintain an Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives Security Certification and Screening in accordance with AR 190-11.

Physical Efforts:
Work requires you to frequently lift objects weighing 30 to 60 pounds. All lifts over 50 pounds will be assisted with a two person lift or using a mechanical handling equipment lifting device. The two person lift limit is 100 pounds and will only be used for single event, non-routine lifts. Requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching for long periods of time.

Work Conditions:
This position requires work predominately performed inside in a well-lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Work is sometimes performed at Posts, Camps, and Stations in inclement weather. You are subject to injuries such as cuts and bruises, as well as burns caused by electrical shock. Working conditions are not considered in the evaluation of the job, since environmental pay is provided to compensate for the hazard elements if applicable.
