This vacancy is for a IT Program Manager position in the Department of Commerce located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.
Duties
Serves as a senior technical program manager for the office of the CIO leading technical direction, integration, migration, and delivery to accelerate adoption and integration of cloud services across the bureau.
Advances cybersecurity protections, monitoring and rapid response through the use of advanced secure cloud services.
Ensures cloud adoption efforts are properly scoped, prioritized, integrated, and managed to deliver the greatest value to mission operations.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes leading mission teams and technical operations, implementing policies, processes, tools, and applications on cloud projects in the Census context; Applying cybersecurity policies on technical projects and developing and implementing technical workforce training. Experience with IT system development lifecycle concepts and IT services; Making presentations and communicating with technical and non-technical audience and making decisions in a timely fashion on complex or sensitive topics.
In addition to the above specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate one year of Information Technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
