You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST (CIVILIAN HARM MITIGATION AND RESONSE), G-5 DIVISION in the MARFORPAC of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.

Duties

You will support and advise on all on the aspects analysis in the development of the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response program. You will assess internal and force level processes in order to ensure operating forces civilian harm mitigation plans meet force level requirements. You will take action when planning and conducting military operations by assessing and analyzing the operational environment that may be at risk. You will review, assess, and investigate to understand why the civilian harm resulted from military operations. You will review and assist with command policies and directives that impact the program. You will deal professionally with U.S. government, private industry, and foreign government personnel. You will efficiently collect, update, analyze, and report on high volume, complex, unstructured information using spreadsheets and other types of software and technology. You will provide oral and written communication by prepare briefings, presentations, and decisions to support deliberations and decisions by senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET - SCI clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: in operational planning, political and military policy, security cooperation, National and Service plans, command relationships, and componency.
