The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Specialist responsible in providing effective management and control over the complete Provisioning cycle and associated taskings.
This is a Target GS-11 Position.
Duties
As Supply Specialist performs effective management of work associated with the Provisioning processes.
Serves as a focal point to know, interpret, and ensure compliance with all established Provisioning DoD and AFMC policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Serves as the Chairperson for Spares Provisioning Conferences (PGCs) and Provisioning conferences (SPC) to support the Product Groups during the Provisioning cycle.
Uses knowledge of supply regulations, policies and systems to assist higher graded specialists in performing assignments that encompass a variety of problem situations.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions and General Supply Positions, 2001. GS-09
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes ??????? researching and validating material support requirements; processing forecasting inputs into data systems for exchangeable items worked in the facility; receiving specific instructional guidance in accomplishing more difficult assignments like developing short range, mid-range and long range material supportability planning. My work is reviewed for accuracy and conformance to procedures and any special instructions; NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table,and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
GS-11
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes having a broad and in-depth knowledge of inventory management concepts, principles and techniques; sources of supply and the procurement process; as well as storage, issue, distribution and disposal processes and techniques. Able to plan and coordinate material actions with personnel involved in a variety of production support functions to assure proper repair support to meet flow day requirements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. In depth knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods applicable to Provisioning processes.
2. In depth knowledge of supply functions, operati0ns, program requirements, and work methods.
3. In depth knowledge of structure, contents, codes, internal and external interfaces, update procedures and data entry in automated supply systems and databases.
4. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, and Supply Support Requests, etc. to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
5. Ability to receive, screen, review, compile and organize supply data, and to prepare supply documents.
6. Ability to effectively and clearly communicate both orally and in writing.
7. Ability to maintain good working relations with internal and external personnel.
8. Ability to develop improved work processes and quality of work produced.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
