You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Deployment and Distribution Operations Center of the Logistics, Engineering, and Security Cooperation Directorate of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will manage and synchronize theater logistics and distribution operations for the Joint Logistics Enterprise in accordance with regulations as USINDOPACOM Southeast Asia Pacific Deployment and Distribution Operations Center regional supervisor. You will exercise authorities for theater logistics through integration between the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines, United States Transportation Command and Defense Logistics Agency. You will partner with USINDOPACOM regional partners to seek opportunities to optimize DoD logistics and distribution operations, activities, and investments and participate in USINDOPACOM working groups and boards. You will plan, organize, and manage the logistics and distribution activities of USINDOPACOM component requirements transiting and operating in the Southeast Asia region. You will provide requested data for the development and publication of all plans and information policy related to distribution, procedures and operating instructions for the GCC within the assigned AOR, including those influencing exercise design.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, organizing, and managing logistics mission activities for a division; serving as the senior representative at executive-level meetings, boards, and conferences; and establishing metrics and analysis systems to assess efficiency and effectiveness.
