Duties
This position is located in the Office of Staff Learning and Development (OSLD) in the Peace Corps Office of Management. The purpose of OSLD is to lead the Peace Corps to become a high-performing learning organization that consistently invests in global staff professional development and Volunteer learning so that everyone can fully contribute to the Peace Corps Mission. This Office is responsible for training and career development programs that support Federal mandates, Peace Corps policy, occupational requirements, and individual professional growth.
The incumbent is responsible for leading the Agency strategic direction and implementing innovative means of digital learning and knowledge management. S/he will ensure that the most appropriate systems are developed and in place to provide access to the wealth of knowledge and learning across the global program. He/she will train the staff in knowledge management skills that include collection, storage, distribution, integration, and application of knowledge (all knowledge assets including learning materials, processes, expertise, and partnerships) to support professional learning and development at the Peace Corps. He/she will lead in developing an organizational culture that maximizes digital learning strategies to support PC HQ and post personnel and Volunteers across the global program. The incumbent's time is spent leading, directing, and developing a successful digital learning and knowledge management program towards enhancing educational resources and the professional growth of PC Staff and Volunteers.
Qualifications

FP-02 (Equivalent to the GS-14)To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP02 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP03 or GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading a team responsible for developing digital learning and managing the collection, exchange, and distribution of knowledge resources to support agency staff; ensuring Federal compliance with learning requirements; leading strategic knowledge sharing activities that enhance the learning and professional development of agency staff.

Please note: Peace Corps employees are employed using the Foreign Personnel (FP) pay scale. The FP pay plan does not follow the same structure as the GS pay plan. In the FP pay plan, as the grade-level numbers decrease the level/pay for the position increases (e.g., the FP-09 is the lowest entry-level pay and the FP-01 is the highest senior-level pay).
