About the Position: This request is to fill an Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-05/06, FPL 06, with US Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, Operations Division. This position can be filled at the GS-05/FPL 06, or, at the GS-06 full performance grade level.
Promotion to the full performance grade level is at the discretion of management.
Duties
Yow will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and management assistance required to operate a designated functional area in a large project office.
Solicit quotes for the purchases of materials, supplies, equipment, services, and construction purchased primarily through open market purchasing procedures;.
Assist in performing annual physical inventories using scanner, forwards reconciliation reports, and prepares property inventory adjustments as required.
Serve as Site Office expert regarding payment of contracting services.
Track payments to include contract schedule status, close out, and de-obligations
Perform timekeeping and related duties such as using an automated reporting system which is linked to the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS)
Work with maintenance personnel to obtain data needed to properly document maintenance costs on assets.

FOR GS-05:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of clerical assignments to support an organization, such as recordkeeping, replenishing supplies, and receiving visitors and phone calls. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
FOR GS-6:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assisting with an office budget; OR 2) utilizing automated office software to prepare documents, correspondence OR spreadsheets; OR 3) performing administrative support duties for an office such as timekeeping and coordinating travel arrangements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
