Duties

This position is located in the Office of Management, Property Acquisition and Safety Division Material Management Branch, Safety Environmental Health Section in Washington, District of Columbia.

Requirements

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12. GS-13 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Serving as a safety manager using analytical techniques, including hazard, fault tree and management oversight and risk tree analysis to identify high safety risks; and Applying safety and occupational health rules and regulations in order to recommend substantive program changes and to resolve safety and occupational health management problems; and. Applying analytical techniques sufficient to identify safety risks to law enforcement and compliance inspection operations; and Certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification in a safety/health or environmental related field Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
