Incumbent serves as the principal staff advisor to the District Commander, Deputy Commander, and district staff principles on matters relating to civilian workforce management.
*This temp promotion may not be extended past 5 years. Temporary promotion made be made permanent at management discretion*

Duties
Advises District personnel on a variety of substantive procedural and policy matters on a broad range of civilian workforce management functions.
Reviews organizational requirements and/or conducts studies relating to such factors as turnover, mission, and technology to identify staffing trends, anticipated vacancies etc.
Serves as liaison between management and the servicing personnel office.
Advises the Commander and staff on the Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP) program.
Manages the Awards program which includes performance, honorary, service and retirement awards.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising higher level management on personnel and administrative functions to include process improvement and other functions such as awards, performance management, or incentives; developing and recommending policy guidance for the organization; and analyzing critical reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
