Duties
You will be responsible for physical security, personnel security, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) issues, Access Control management and contractor verification.
You will assist command security officials in implementation of security procedures, policies, programs, and objectives.
You will assist in security training of command personnel.
You will provide security briefings to incoming personnel and new building tenants concerning access responsibilities.
You will maintain and operate Access Control System (ACS), update the Command Personnel Database and ACS data to ensure both reflect current personnel information.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
Experience operating Intrusion Detection Systems and devices;
Experience conducting inspections, investigations, and preparing physical security surveys to manage a physical security program;
Experience completing the adjudication and appeals process for initiating investigations, clearances, suspensions, revocations, terminations and reinstatements, periodic re-investigations, and clearance upgrades/downgrades;
Experience administering access control programs and maintaining a key and lock control program;
Experience implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information (SCI) programs in order to protect SCI resources and conducting initial and refresher security education and training awareness for assigned staff.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
Successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education; OR
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
