This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis. As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Branch Chief), you will oversee the branch's research and production program, and plan, draft, edit, and present intelligence assessments for senior leadership.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Branch Chief), you will:
-Strengthen the analytic quality and tradecraft of production, promoting team building, eliminating process inefficiencies, and ensuring the professional development of the branch by training and mentoring staff to strengthen their research, writing and analytical skills.
-Maintain relevant ongoing contacts with other agencies and offices, both domestic and foreign.
-Ensure the timely completion and review of daily production requirements and quick-reaction assignments.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated, professional experience in ALL of the following:
-Supervising or otherwise managing the formulation of intelligence research and analytical products; AND
-Supervising or otherwise managing the development of policies, reports, assessments, or memoranda on national security topics related to cyber, economics, finance, or terrorism topics; AND
-Directly supervising a staff of intelligence analysts.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated, professional experience in BOTH of the following:
-Formulating, or managing or coordinating the formulation of, intelligence research and analytical products; AND
-Preparing, or managing or coordinating the preparation of policies, reports, assessments, or memoranda on national security topics related to Cyber, economics, finance, or terrorism topics.
