This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of the Administrator.
This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Senior Advisor to the Administrator. Represents and supports Senior Executives with managerial activities of the division and to conducts special assignments related to resources and programs.

As a Senior Advisor your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as expert consultant in the resolution of most challenging problems on projects of agency wide impacting activities.
Coordinating and tracking programs, projects, policy development, operational plans and staff to facilitate the implementation of the DEA's Administrator decisions.
Conducting expert analysis to increase program effectiveness, identifying potential opportunities, solutions and requirements to integrate within the organization.
Leading special assignments related to overall resources and programs affecting the organization.
Collecting data from program officials, and key stakeholders on relevant new business process or initiatives to enhance organizational successes.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-14 level: 1) Planning administrative efforts to resolve complex problems with work processes; 2) Monitoring the progress and execution of policy development to support goals and objectives for a division; 3) Providing solutions to key stakeholders to identify priorities and assess resources.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes:
