This position is within the FAA, Aviation Safety (AVS), Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM), Northwest Mountain Aviation Medical Division (ANM-300). AAM develops and manages medical programs in support of AVS. This position provides clerical support for regional programs and administrative activities in assigned Regional Aerospace Medicine Division(s).
Duties
Provides division telephone coverage to include answering and routing telephone calls. Maintains shared email inboxes by answering, routing, and organizing emails received by internal and external stakeholders. Performs data entry tasks in various databases and Aerospace Medicine systems. Identifies outliers in data by tracking and comparing lists. Validates that information is transmitted and received from stakeholders. Follows policies and regulations while controlling personally identifiable (PII) medical information in the following tasks: scanning, records management, and sending documents to stakeholders.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-D (FG/GS 5/6) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent at the next lower level of FV-C (FG/GS 1-4). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience with typing/keyboarding; coding, entering, and transcribing data; sorting and filing; creating and maintaining directories, lists, and other standard guides; answering and routing emails/telephone calls; operating software and databases to include Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.OREducation: 4 years above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Copies of transcripts required)ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-E (FG/GS 7/8) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent at the next lower level of FV-D (FG/GS 5/6). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience with word processing of documents, letters, memorandums, or reports; coding, entering, and transcribing data; collecting and organizing materials from several sources; developing charts and tables for reports and briefings; answering and routing emails/telephone calls; scanning, records management, and sending documents to stakeholders; operating software and databases to include Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.
