This position is located in Gateway National Recreation Area, in the Sandy Hook Maintenance Operations within the Facility Management Division. The position is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of all roads, bridges, trails, grounds and visitor use areas.

Duties

The selectee plans, assigns, and directs the work of all subordinates and assures quality of work. Incumbent has substantially full supervisory responsibility over work operations and subordinates. Incumbent also performs mixed duties of a general nature necessary for the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of cultural landscapes, roads, beaches, trails, grounds, and facility maintenance. Incumbent supports roads and grounds operations as required including snow removal, park events, and or emergencies. Incumbent may be required to do simple laboring tasks as an incidental part of his or her general duties including building maintenance, repair, and custodial work.
