This position is located in the Office of Communications, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for the planning and development of the User Experience (UX) program and charged with improving, implementing and managing intuitive user experiences through user interface design.

-Improve web and digital properties based on qualitative and quantitative assessments of user needs.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) Collaborating with others on user interface design, or service design projects and initiatives; 2) Designing and developing digital products, platforms, or services; 3) Creating wireframes, prototypes, or other early testing concepts; and 4) Participating in User Experience (UX) design sessions or workshops utilizing iterative development processes or agile methodologies.
