About the Position: Serves as a Training Technician located at U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence, located at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. The U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence is located in beautiful and historic San Antonio and is within easy commuting distance of desirable neighborhoods and excellent school systems.

Duties

Responsible for testing control, graduation certificates, management of academic records, collecting and managing student and class schedule data. Develops narrative and statistical reports, correspondence and instructional materials. Responsible for the storage, control, issue, disposition, and security of all test items, filing systems and databases. Provides customer service to students and staff members within the US Army Medical Center of Excellence.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying regulations and procedures concerning training, testing and academic efficiency reporting requirements; reviewing instructional materials for accuracy based on current training policies, regulations and doctrine; utilizing custom training database programs (e.g. Digital Training System, Army Training Requirements Resources Systems) or similar systems to check course information, submit applications or prepare reports; preparing correspondence, certificates, rosters and academic records; providing customer service to answer inquiries from students and staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentage.
