You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the N33 FORCE TRAVEL, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of COMNAVRESFORCOM.
Duties
You will develop, implement and monitor the integrity of the Navy Reserve Force’s Defense Travel System (DTS) operations and policies.
You will serve as senior program manager on all matters pertaining to reservist, active duty and civilian staff travel administration and monitor processes.
You will manage Defense Travel System (DTS) audits throughout the Navy Reserve Force and provide audit reports to senior officials with correction action plans.
You will implement measurable improvement objectives by collating lessons learned from audits and disseminate them across the command.
You will conduct studies and reviews of Defense Travel System (DTS) matters as required by senior officials.
You will provide project and program management oversight including assigning and reviewing work of subordinates based on priorities and corresponding aptitudes.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience establishing standardized monitoring procedures and metrics for the Defense Travel System (DTS) program to ensure Reserve Force readiness for rapid deployment.
Experience providing directions for creating and/or maintaining organization routing structures for approval and certification of travel ensuring compliance with DTS policies for Routing Lists and DD Form 577s.
Experience assigning DTS roles and permission levels, ensuring separation of duties within subordinate commands and documenting fund approvals authorities to support approval and liquidation of travel orders.
Experience developing processes which will support and maintain a standardized traveler information database repository.
Experience establishing an effective training program that serves to adequately educate reservist, Approving Officials and travelers on policies and travel guidance.
Experience preparing and presenting executive level briefs and recommendations to a varied audience on matters pertaining to the travel programs.
