This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Incumbent serves as an Archives Technician in the National Personnel Records Center's Civilian Personnel Records facility. Incumbent performs numerous activities involved in the processing of file level reference requests of civilian personnel records from a variety of customers.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-04 grade level, you must have one year of general experience which includes progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. OR 2 years of education above high school. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent. (For example: the completion of 50% requirements for an Associate's degree and 6 months of general experience.)

Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
