About the Position: Serves as one of the Program Managers within Civil Works Branch of the Seattle District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Provides leadership, direction, and oversight for the programs and project management activities related to execution of the District's various Civil Works Programs, ensuring consistency and continuity. Provides a central point of contact on assigned phases of the projects.
Duties
Provide leadership, direction, and execution of the programs and project management activities for the District's various Civil Works Programs.
Ensure consistency and continuity of program management within the District.
Be central point of contact on assigned phases of the projects.
Manage projects that are highly visible with multiple complexities of technical issues, political interests, public impact, and environmental sensitivity.
Manage project activities which are spread throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
Represent the District at meetings, briefings, conferences, hearings (etc.) on matters related to proposed or approved projects, to include MACOMs/MAJCOMs, NWDHQ, other Federal agencies, state, county, and local authorities, and the public.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) managing diverse projects, e.g. geographical physical, biological and socio-economic environs; AND (2) applying engineering, scientific and/or project management knowledge to achieve program/project goals, e.g. scheduling and funding; AND (3) leading or supervising teams or subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
