Duties
Under the direction of the Supervisory Recreation Specialist, implements transportation policies, procedures, and regulation as they relate the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) vehicles.
Plans, oversees, and administers vehicle leasing. Prepares, processes, and reviews funding documents and vehicle lease requests.
Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative Plans, develops, administers and conducts a quality control and inspection program including statistical and random sampling for the Outdoor Recreation Motor pool.
Reviews vehicle utilization records for compliance with mileage equalization policies.
Provides technical advice on such matters as mobilization/emergency planning. Supervises assigned staff. Provides input for Motor Vehicle employees performance appraisals. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree with a major course of study--accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
OR
Demonstrated work experience that includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position to be filled equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression. Work experience must include managerial, technical and professional work experience in Transportation & the knowledge of Motor Pool Operations sufficient to detect and recommend corrections to unsafe, inefficient, and/or improper procedures.
1 year of specialized experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations
Highly Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Familiar with policies, procedures, and regulations that relate to the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) vehicles.
Familiar with NAF Budgets, policies and procedures
Experience with Transportation Motor Pools
