The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's (DCSA) Field Operations is looking for an Administrative Officer to support the Mid-Atlantic region by conducting essential support functions. Visit www.dcsa.mil to learn more about our agency.

Duties

This position is located at the Mid-Atlantic Region Headquarters in Alexandria, VA and reports to the regional Chief of Staff (COS). As the regional Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for providing broad advisory, administrative, and functional support services to the COS and other region leaders, which will ensure the effective and efficient operation of field operations and the region. As a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER you will be responsible for the following duties: - Provide customer service and support to the Field/Region by enabling personnel to be successful in the execution of their mission. - Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding assigned areas of responsibility. Gather feedback on internal service performance and foster continual improvement. - Accomplish work in accordance with delegations of authority and appropriate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. - Regularly provide advice and guidance in policy and operational matters related to programs under his/her responsibility. - Review service performance reports, identifying significant issues and variances, initiating, when necessary, corrective actions that ensure all issues are followed up.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Ability to work effectively with diverse client base and missions to foster an environment of mutual trust and cooperation to improve mission performance, resolve conflicts, identify future challenges, and identify opportunities to integrate and improve mission accomplishment. General knowledge of administrative laws, policies, regulations, procedures and precedents applicable to the administration of Federal programs; ex. human resources, security, administration, financial management, and logistics. Experience providing sound administrative management and support service techniques and practices that promote greater efficiency, effectiveness and economy, or resolve problems. Possess working knowledge of Industrial Security, Background Investigations, Industrial Security, and Counterintelligence/Insider Threat. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Administration and Management - Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. 2. Attention to detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 3. Customer Service - Works and communicates with clients and customers (e.g., any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit provides, including individuals who work in your agency or in other agencies or organizations outside the Government) to satisfy their expectations. Committed to quality services. 4. Flexibility - Adapts quickly to changes. 5. Integrity/Honesty - Contributes to maintaining the integrity of the organization; displays high standards of ethical conduct and understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self, and others; is trustworthy.
