The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.
Duties
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist NIM for Near East/South Asia in overseeing national intelligence related to the South Asia area of responsibility (AOR); set collection, analysis, and intelligence operations priorities on behalf of the ODNI, in consonance with the National Intelligence Priorities Framework and direction from the National Security Staff.
Assist NIM for Near East/South Asia in determining the state of collection, analysis, or intelligence operations resource gaps; develop and publish a UIS which identifies and formulates strategies to mitigate gaps; advise the IMC and IMB of the gaps, mitigation strategies, progress against the strategies, and the effectiveness of the strategies in closing the intelligence gaps.
Develop integrated collection strategies in concert with the National Intelligence Collection Officer for South Asia.
Lead, plan, and oversee the advancement of outreach activities within and beyond the IC to ensure long term strategy development is informed by the latest and best efforts across the U.S. Government, industry, and foreign partners.
Influence policy development and strategy implementation for the IC on the South Asia AOR.
Develop IC-level analytic production strategies in concert with the National Intelligence Council (NIC) to ensure major shortfalls on the South Asia area AOR are being examined either as a community or by individual analytics.
Evaluate and determine the state of analysis by assessing the quality of analysis and ensure competitive and alternative analysis is conducted on high-priority topics.
Administer NIM Near East/South Asia resource allocations, budget processes, and activities, to include the establishment of controls to ensure NIM Near East/South Asia equities remain within budget.
Oversee advocacy initiatives to integrate and optimize contributions from current and planned technical, analytic, and openly available sources.
Lead a team of professional staff, assess performance, collaborate and oversee goal setting, and provide feedback on personal and professional development.
Brief senior United States Government policymakers, IC, and Department of Defense officials, members of Congress, Foreign Partners, and other major stakeholders as necessary on analytic enterprise issues and emerging trends concerning the South Asia AOR.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Expert knowledge of IC structures, capabilities, operational mechanisms, and ability to anticipate issues relevant to analysis of South Asia (including India, Pakistan, and/or Afghanistan) issues.
Expert leadership experience and analytic expertise to support strategy and policy development, strategic planning and implementation efforts.
Superior knowledge of regionally-relevant counterproliferation issues
Superior ability to anticipate issues relevant to the IC and United States Government and recommend/implement needed actions.
Expert knowledge of IC organizations; IC mission posture, structures, capabilities, processes, and policy development.
Superior organizational, managerial, and leadership skills, including ability to effectively manage the professional development of staff employees.
Expert knowledge of the Federal government's regulations regarding business practices and procedures to successfully formulate and execute fiscal budgetary responsibilities.
Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to build consensus, work effectively, and independently exert influence to major stakeholders.
Expert knowledge of the IC's analytic architecture as related to South Asia, and expertise working on the South Asia target across multiple analytic disciplines.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as determined by mission specialty area
