You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER (MCAGCC) / MARINE AIR GROUND TASK FORCE TRAINING COMMAND (MAGTFTC), SUPPORT OPERATIONS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement. Duties

You will maintain supply files in a database to track information needed for reports and briefings. You will query automated supply systems extracting information to resolve data discrepancies, respond to questions, provide status, or verify information. You will maintain customers' accounts (e.g., keep record of customer interaction and transactions, comments, complaints) to follow up on any ongoing issues. You will be responsible for management and control of property and leased owned vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. You will maintain Property Book with accountability for furniture, fixtures and equipment, and minor expendable property.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Non-sensitive security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: clerical supply work (e.g. supply identification/accounting systems, inventory control, storage, distribution, reports, and vouchers) for assigned equipment. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, you may qualify based on education or equivalent combination of education and experience, as follows:

Successfully completed four years of education above high school level; OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
