Duties

The Minneapolis VA Medical Center seeks experienced full-time outpatient adult primary care practitioners (PCPs). In VA, PCPs care for an assigned panel of patients in a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model that offers integrated in-clinic mental health, clinical pharmacy, dietitian, and physical therapy services. A full range of consultative services is available on site, from preventive patient wellness programs to advanced medical and surgical specialties. The Minneapolis VA has active research and teaching programs, including a primary care nurse practitioner residency program. Physician Assistant Basic Requirements Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant ~AND~ Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) (or are you in the process to taking the exam) ~AND~ Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia. Preferred Experience: At least 3 years of direct experience working in primary care as a PA-C References: VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-8 Physician Assistant Qualification Standard.
