Duty Location: Boulder City, Nevada
Duties
The primary duties of this position are:
- Provides accurate and timely advice and guidance on procedures, reports, requirements, and other matters necessary to implement the Office's policies, directives, and instructions.
- Serves as a confidential point of contact for correspondence to be signed by the Chief and/or Deputy Chief of Boulder Canyon Operations Office (BCOO).
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate style, tone, and format on outgoing correspondence and conformance with the Plain Language regulations.
- Plans and schedules travel for the BCOO Chief and/or Deputy Chief to include complicated itineraries and overseas travel.
- Maintains the BCOO Chief's and/or Deputy Chief's calendar, scheduling appointments and conferences without prior approval, and seeing that the Chief and/or Deputy Chief is fully briefed on the matters to be considered before the scheduled meeting.
- Maintains time and attendance for BCOO Chief's staff, including creating Key/WOIDs and provides training as required/requested to others in time and attendance functions.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
GS-7: To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of full-time experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 grade level in federal service inputting time into an automated time and attendance system, making travel reservations, allocating monthly charges into the an automated financial system, and experience finalizing correspondence. If your resume does not clearly reflect all of the experience listed above, your application will be marked as not qualified.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
