About the Position: Arlington National Cemetery is located in Arlington, VA. Since May of 1864, Arlington National Cemetery has served as the nation's premier military cemetery and shrine honoring those men and women who served in the Armed Forces.

Duties

Maintain the Common Operational Picture consisting of multiple information systems, both analog and digital. Track and update in real time the execution of all ceremony and visitor activities in the cemetery. Prepare after action reviews with recommended improvements for future operations. Analyze and reports relevant and accurate operational data. Receive, processes, and disseminates synthesized information via spot reports, recurring analytical reports, and emergency communication. Perform a variety of administrative tasks (e.g., filing, statistics reports, operating office automation equipment, updating digital records and websites, etc.) associated with assignments.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Note: This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.( Will be required to work one weekend day every week)
  • May include shift work (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing records and reports; utilizing various information systems to maintain data; and conducting administrative staff work within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Operations Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementDatabase AdministrationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
