Duties
You will conduct reviews (of ship and/or system specifications, contract plans, HMR's, FMR's, etc) for the planning of government support and control actions necessary for the administration of assigned programs.
You will control all phases associated with the construction, alteration, modernization and repair of all submarines or projects assigned.
You will maintain daily contact with the assigned ship and combat systems coordinators in order to monitor progress of shipboard work and keep abreast of and coordinate resolution of daily problems that have potential impact on schedules.
You will Interface with both internal and external contacts for the purposes of negotiating costs, exchanging information, scheduling operations, and to discuss other construction concerns.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preparing production plans for a naval vessel or major civilian projects.
