About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

Sign tools out to the requesting mechanics and signing tools back in when returned. Inspect shipments received for completeness, damage, and overall appearance. Perform minor maintenance of tools and parts. Determine tools and equipment function properly. Operate a forklift in order to receive and store material in a warehouse.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background Tier 1 investigation.
• Employee must pass a pre-appointment physical examination and meet established required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in various locations that may be a satellite storage area located within an industrial shop containing production machinery, which is well lighted, fairly clean, and well heated but occasionally drafty and noisy. There is some possibility of minor cuts and bruises. Personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, safety glasses with side shields and ear plugs are required when in the shop area or around machinery. Working conditions are considered in the evaluation of the position.
