This National Guard position is for a AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5302P01 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Duties
As an Airman and Family Readiness Specialist, GS-0301-11, you will serve as the family readiness and support services representative at an ANG Wing and coordinate concurrently with the Force Support Squadron Commander/Human Resources Officer (Director of Personnel (DP)) at each wing, Joint Force Headquarters - State (JFHQ-ST) Family Program Director, NGB Family Programs Office, and US Air Force/Major Command (MAJCOM) Family Readiness Directors.
Requirements

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance within one year of appointment.
- The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle and if so, an appropriate valid driver’s license is required.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.
