About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Network Enterprise Technology Command Headquarters (NETCOM HQ) or Army Contracting Command (ACC).
Duties
Establishes, implements, and maintains a viable procurement and acquisition program that fully supports the Brigade’s operational mission.
Advises management on matters pertaining to contracting policies, regulations, and procedures.
Perform duties as the subject matter expert (SME) for acquisition tools.
Conducts training on assigned topics to improve acquisition practices and processes.
Assists cardholders to efficiently fulfill their responsibilities, and answers customer’s questions about Government Purchase Card usage.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must include the following experience; advising management on contracting policies, regulations, and procedures; performing pre and/or post contract administrative work and review and process the necessary documentation to support acquisition information technology (IT) equipment and support for sustainment operations; performing duties as the subject matter expert (SME) for acquisition tools used by the Brigade. Experience must demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by; Advising management on contracting policies, regulations, and procedures; Performing pre and/or post contract administrative work and review and process the necessary documentation to support acquisition information technology (IT) equipment and support for sustainment operations; Performing duties as the subject matter expert (SME) for acquisition tools used by the Brigade.
Education
