This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Duties

As a Supervisory Project Manager, you will: Provide guidance to staff assigned to projects, monitor/track progress towards meeting targeted milestones, and develop creative solutions where necessary to ensure milestones are being met. Maintain regular and ongoing contact with managers, supervisors and staff in the Office of Human Resources and the Performance Management Office, Training Services, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations, including Administrative Service Centers, Field Office Human Resources Divisions, and program offices. Develop high-level position and analytic papers and makes recommendations to the Deputy Assistant Secretary to resolve sensitive or critical human resource management issues or matters. Evaluates existing systems and determines current and future information technology needs and requirements.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Supervising or leading a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards accomplishing goals and meeting deadlines; AND Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of human resources procedures, regulations, and policies to recommend improvements and resolve problems; AND Managing projects from inception to completion through project planning (i.e. requirements analysis, actions planning); AND Experience serving as a project manager responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and implementing performance management projects. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
