This position is located in the Airport Technology Research and Development Branch (ATR). ATR serves as the primary research and development organization for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Airports (ARP), Office of Airport Safety and Standards, conducting and supporting a wide variety of research efforts comprising of tests, evaluations, assessments, and studies that support an efficient, productive, and cost-effective National Airspace System (NAS).
Duties
As a Program Specialist, the incumbent uses knowledge gained as a Contracting Officer Representative to monitor contracts performance and schedules. Responsible for providing guidance on the applications of policies related to contracts, agreements and/or grants supporting the ATR program. This work crosses organization boundaries through ARP and Office of NextGen (ANG) and directly affects the accomplishments of FAA strategic objectives.
