This position is located in the Airport Technology Research and Development Branch (ATR). ATR serves as the primary research and development organization for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Airports (ARP), Office of Airport Safety and Standards, conducting and supporting a wide variety of research efforts comprising of tests, evaluations, assessments, and studies that support an efficient, productive, and cost-effective National Airspace System (NAS).

Duties

As a Program Specialist, the incumbent uses knowledge gained as a Contracting Officer Representative to monitor contracts performance and schedules. Responsible for providing guidance on the applications of policies related to contracts, agreements and/or grants supporting the ATR program. This work crosses organization boundaries through ARP and Office of NextGen (ANG) and directly affects the accomplishments of FAA strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Experience includes: Experience with acquisition and contract policy, guidelines, and law to monitor and recommend solutions for performance, procurement, and financial criteria for a research and development program.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Some, all or none of the applicants may be interviewed.
