This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, DC, the Regional Office in New York City, NY, or the Boston Area Office in Braintree, MA, and supports the Strategic Programs and Coordination Section, which leads and staffs established, new, and emerging CISR programs related to policy, supervision, resolution, and management objectives for CISR firms.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 12 level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience gained in either of the following: (1) implementing, and analyzing recommendations on cross-border issues such as capital/loss absorbing capacity, funding, liquidity, or change of control related to the resolution strategies, insolvency or resolution plans under the Dodd-Frank Act for a Global Systemically Important Financial Institution, OR (2) implementing and analyzing recommendations on cross-border resolution issues such as capital/loss absorbing capacity, funding, liquidity, or change of control being considered by or within the Financial Stability Board. CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience gained in either of the following: (1) developing, implementing, and analyzing recommendations on cross-border issues such as capital/loss absorbing capacity, funding, liquidity, or change of control related to the resolution strategies, insolvency or resolution plans under the Dodd-Frank Act for a Global Systemically Important Financial Institution, OR (2) developing, implementing, and analyzing recommendations on cross-border resolution issues such as capital/loss absorbing capacity, funding, liquidity, or change of control being considered by or within the Financial Stability Board. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
