The Logistics Management Specialist performs moderate but progressively more difficult assignments under the close direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader or more experienced professional. Typically acts as a member of a Facilities and Equipment (F&E) Inventory Management team for F&E projects/programs within a defined area of responsibility. May provide customer service through Service Orders.

Duties

Applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to forecasting, monitoring, coordinating and control of assigned inventory items required for the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of the NAS. Typical assignments include: collecting and recording data/information, conducting research, identifying problems and assisting higher level professionals in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-G (FG-10/11) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess one (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes experience with inventory control regulations and policies; experience recording and tracking inventory activity and needs; experience selecting alternative source of supply; and coordination and control on inventory items.OREducation Substitution: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if relatedORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
