You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience would typically include but is not limited to: History of independent grant funding from the NIH or VA; experience working in a research laboratory environment performing experiments; collecting biological data; analyzing, evaluating, assessing and forecasting of scientific findings; preparing technical and research reports; working knowledge in cell biology; creating, exploring, evaluating and sharing solutions and theories of scientific projects; safely handling and using biohazard materials; collaborating with clinicians and other researchers; and following research regulatory guidelines in the performance of duties. AND;
Education: Applicants must posses possess a Bachelor's degree with a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (transcript must be submitted with application)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: No special physical exertion is required. The work is primarily performed while sitting though some work may require periods of standing. The regular and recurring work of the position involves sitting at a desk, conferences, meetings, etc., and occasional visits to activity work sites. Occasional use of automobile and public conveyances may be required.
