Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, and within established policies and procedures, performs scientific investigative research in clinical and/or biomedical areas related to cardiovascular diseases. This position is a without compensation position. There will be no pay for this position.
Duties
Duties Include:
Conducts research and analyses according to established protocols and research methodology.
Develops new investigative protocols to carry out established research objectives.
Participates in the design of' research protocols to achieve the scientific objectives to allow quantitative and qualitative evaluation and interpretation of data obtained.
Collects and analyzes data using molecular biology, bioinformatic, phylogenetic or statistical methodologies and software.
Interprets the results of research study and experiments, presents results and data to supervisors and other researchers.
Reviews literature pertaining to research being conducted in the scientific area of interest. Writes presentations, manuscripts and grants based on research performed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday; to be set between the hours of 6:30am to 5:00pm

You must qualify based on your education as described below:
Education: Applicants must posses possess a PhD or MD degree in a relevant major of study related to medical research.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: No special physical exertion is required. The work is primarily performed while sitting though some work may require periods of standing. The regular and recurring work of the position involves sitting at a desk, conferences, meetings, etc., and occasional visits to activity work sites. Occasional use of automobile and public conveyances may be required.
