Duties
As a SUPERVISORY WEAPONS SYSTEMS POLICY ANALYST (C4-ISR) at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Supervisor for Weapons C4-ISR, managing support to various clients on the agency for international weapons system competitions synchronization, or interagency technology transfer requests, advocacy requests from various stakeholders.
Oversees the planning, direction, and timely execution of all C4-I International programs, including developing, assigning, and managing corresponding goal and objectives to ensure successful execution.
Acts as the DSCA point of contact (POC) for the purpose of providing information regarding Weapons, C4-I activities to USG agencies, partner countries, and other interested parties.
Provides oversight, development and execution of training and education programs in the
technical processes and procedures for reviews for interagency staff and appropriate persons MilDEPS and defense industry.
Researches state of the art U.S. defense related technology and industrial processes to assess levels of technologies appropriate for transfer to foreign governments.
Oversees assessment and improves effectiveness and efficiency of weapons C4-I activities, using metrics criteria and other assessment tools, directing necessary corrective actions and improvements

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Interpreting and applying policies in the area of weapons C4-ISR technology and defense related technology;
Knowledge of DoD COMSEC release policy and process.
Analyzing national security and arms transfer policy guidelines to draft policy recommendations relative to the successful transfer of defense technology to foreign governments;
Knowledge of security cooperation, including security assistance and related legislation, policies and practices and; working under pressure, reacting quickly to unforeseen situations and problems, and handle controversial issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
