About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Provide work direction, set the pace of the work, and work along with other employees engaged in industrial wastewater treatment and water treatment plant operations/repairs.
Check work in progress and when finished, check for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
Operate, monitor, and maintain the facilities for pumping and treating industrial wastewater and the operation of the industrial wastewater treatment plant.
Collect samples, composite and grab method, for control and operational purposes to be utilized in testing, reporting, and as an operational guide for chemical dosages, settling, neutralizing, sludge treatment, and other necessary functions.
Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, and metering equipment of the reverse osmosis, deionize and softener systems.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Leader without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Leader duties. Leading a group of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators on directives pertaining to Industrial Wastewater or Domestic Sewage Treatment plants. Operating, cleaning, and maintaining pumping and treatment facilities in Industrial Wastewater or Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plants. Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on plant equipment and operating industrial or domestic wastewater collection pumping stations. Performing a wide range of analytical analysis, i.e., pH, alkalinity, solids, ammonia, nitrate, dissolved oxygen (DO), etc. Working under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Efforts: Operators (Water Treatment and Wastewater) do considerable walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, on concrete floors and working in cramped positions etc. Light/moderate effort is required to turn valves and controls. Frequently they lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds unassisted, and heavier weights with assistance from other workers or lifting devices. Heavier lifting is involved when handling chemicals and plant equipment, opening and closing valves, and cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment.
Working Conditions: Water Treatment and Wastewater Plant Operators work both indoors and outdoors and are, therefore, subject to prevailing weather conditions. They are exposed to constant noise, rotating machinery, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes in the work area; subject to cuts/abrasions from the use of tools and equipment as well as chemical burns. They may work on catwalks and ladders. Operators are required to follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as face shields, gloves, steel-toe shoes, respirators, and protective clothing. Some items may be uncomfortable to wear and may be worn or used for long periods of time. Operators are exposed to chemicals and compounds some of which may be hazardous.
